The second annual review

20/02/2007 · On February 20 and 21, the Second Annual Review and Third Steering Committee meeting for the VITAL program was held in Munich.

This meeting brought together the Scientific Officer and reviewers to the European Commission, the leaders of each sub-project, technical advisors and a number of partners.
 
The aim of this meeting was to review the status of the VITAL program for the Commission. The sub-project leaders first presented their research and described technical progress and achievements. They explained the delays and problems encountered sometimes, perceived impact and solutions applied.
 
After listening to these presentations on the first and second day, the Commission provided its own comments and conclusions on Day 2. Its report was very positive, especially concerning the technical innovations and the program’s very promising future. However, several minor recommendations were made concerning the presentations, and it is up to each sub-project to comply with these recommendations, starting today.
In addition to the excellent technical results, this meeting spotlighted the united efforts and teamwork of the 53 partners.
